Gather Catering is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Catering & Events Lead to help bring our beautifully curated food experiences to life. This role is perfect for someone who loves both the creative and operational side of events โ€” from prepping in the kitchen to hosting on-site and capturing content.

Weโ€™re seeking someone with strong hosting energy, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to execute a vision seamlessly from start to finish.

โœจ Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support execution of catering events and activations
  • Assist with food prep, basic cooking, and proper food storage
  • Support grocery sourcing, ordering, and supply runs
  • Assist with recipe ideation and menu support
  • Provide on-site event hosting and guest-facing support
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content (photos/videos on phone)
  • Support event styling, setup, and visual presentation
  • Help manage timelines and logistics for events
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Execute creative direction with precision and care
  • Perform other duties as assigned

โœ… Requirements

  • Strong hosting and customer-facing energy
  • Restaurant and kitchen experience
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially in design and presentation
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced event environments
  • Comfortable with basic food prep and kitchen workflows
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable vehicle
  • Valid Food Safe / Food Handling certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Must be able to work in person in Edmonton
